Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Our restaurant Waldviertler Stuben offers regional specialities and seasonal dishes. The whole area is accessible for disabled guests.
Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00, lunch from 11:30 to 13:30 and dinner from 18:00 to 20:30.
Room service is available during the restaurant open times mentioned above.
The restaurant is closed on Mondays and sometimes Tuesdays from January to March.

Area information :
In the village of Friedersbach you can discover our Romanesque church and a Gothic charnel house. Further objects of interest are the Cistercian monastery in Stift Zwettl, the city of Zwettl with its historic city wall and picturesque city centre, and the Freemason museum in Rosenau Palace.
Besides relaxing and enjoying nature, you can play golf on one of the golf courses in the area. You can also enjoy all kinds of water sports at the nearby Lake Ottenstein, and there are many hiking, cycling and mountain bike trails in the area.
Waldviertel is known for its colourful fields of poppy seed and the delicious carp raised in fresh and clear waters. Your delicious meal, made of regional products, can be rounded off by a tasty beer from one of the numerous small breweries and a glass of local Whisky from the Waldviertel.
Two famous companies have their office in Waldviertel: Sonnentor and Waldland. Both offer regional and, in large part, biological products such as teas, herbs, spices, poppy seed, and snacks.
Travel information :
From Vienna:
- From Vienna take the motorway A 22 (direction Prag/Krems)
- Take the B3 until Krems and then take B 37/38 (direction Zwettl)
- About 2 km after the bridge over the Stausee Ottenstein, turn left to Friedersbach. You will find the hotel in the middle of the village
From Linz:
- From Linz take the motorway A 7 (until the end of the motorway).
- Take the B 125 until Freistadt and then take B 38 via Sandl – Karlstift – Groß Gerungs until Zwettl.
- From Zwettl drive in the direction of Krems/Horn.
- 9 km after Zwettl turn right to Friedersbach. You will find the hotel in the middle of the village
By train:
Vienna (Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof) – Zwettl (we will pick you up at the station in Zwettl and bring you to the hotel without charge. Please note the time of your arrival at the station on your reservation. If you want to be picked up at another station we will charge EUR 0.50 per kilometre).
By train/bus:
Train from Vienna (Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof) to Krems.
Bus from Krems (line 1420) to Friedersbach (bus stop in front of the hotel).
