Immersed in the WWF National Park of the Maremma, on the south coast of Tuscany, this charming hotel offers surroundings which include isolated beaches and diverse wildlife.
The main villa on the estate, Villa Trappola was built in 1283 as a tower 30 metres high to defend the coastline from marauding Saracens. It was fully restored in 2005 with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
The garden extends over an extensive lawn shaded by maritime pines for al fresco dining and a child-proof pool area. The beach is 4 km from the house, at the end of a country lane winding through the National Park, affording fascinating glimpses of the local fauna. The sandy beach is white and deep, with the islands of the archipelago on the horizon. There are few parts of Tuscany so secluded and well-preserved.
Cancellation policy :
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 120 days before date of arrival, 10 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 45 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 90 percent of all nights will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.

The reclaimed flatlands of the Maremma, where cattle used to roam herded by the local cowboys, have today largely been given over to well-husbanded vineyards yielding some of the most prestigious vintages in Italy.
Where there is great wine there tends to be great food, and the Gambero Rosso, voted the best restaurant in Italy, is in one of the seaside resorts along the coast.

Siena, an hour's drive from Torre Trappola, is one of the most enchanting towns in Tuscany. It fans out around a shell-shaped main square called Il Campo where the historic horse race known as Il Palio is held twice a year. The narrow streets are lined with old-fashioned boutiques and little cafés, whilst the churches and museums are a treasure trove of 14th century art.
You will find the jet-set holiday resorts of Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole only a 45 minute drive from the Trappola estate. A visit to the daily fish market in the picturesque harbour of Castiglione della Pescaia featuring the day's catch straight from the fishing boats is highly recommended.
The WWF Maremma National Park encompasses 7 towers, the remains of an abbey and 26 grottoes. In summer, the National Park can only be visited accompanied by a guide. Visits by night take place from 20:00 to 23:00 and are a special thrill.
The spa of Saturnia: Saturnia, an hour's drive away, is the most spectacular natural hot water spring and spa in Tuscany, with a luxury spa hotel as well as pale blue waterfalls of hot water cascading down the hillside in the open countryside.

Pisa Airport is 165 km (2 hours) from the hotel. Florence Airport is 160 km from the hotel.
By Train:
Grosseto train station is well connected for trips to Rome (1.45 hours) and Pisa (1.5 hours).
