Camps Bay Retreat comprises of four acres with waterfalls, mountain streams and pools. The views are simply splendid across the ever-changing Atlantic Ocean and along the peaks of the Twelve Apostles mountain range. The air is fresh, washed clean from the sea and you will hear the “quiet” like never before. Most importantly you’ll feel the peace. Camps Bay Retreat offers you an unforgettable experience… for all the senses.
Cancellation policy :
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children older than 12 years are welcome.
One child or adult is charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
Deposit Policy: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged at least 30 days prior to arrival and is refundable.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.

The Retreat Kitchen, Camps Bay Retreat’s restaurant, provides an intimate dining experience.
Whether Peet, our executive chef, is using specially-aged meats, fresh herbs, or fresh fish, braaiing (outdoor cooking over coals), steaming, poaching, frying or even making sushi – his aim is always to delight and satisfy his guests in every way. He is always more than happy to give you a glimpse of his kitchen’s kokoro (Japanese for heart).
From breakfast through to lunch and dinner, from small bites to sumptuous picnic baskets – a delicious experience awaits you!
Breakfast is served from 07:00 - 11:00.
Lunch is served from 12:00 – 16:00 and can be taken on the veranda or in the dining room.
In the evening, treat yourself to a fabulous three-course candlelit dinner on the veranda, with only the sound of the waves in the background.
You can place your order from 18:00 to 20:00. The kitchen closes at 21:00.
The dinner menu changes regularly, in order to keep it as seasonal as possible. A copy of the menu is available at reception and the restaurant will gladly accommodate special requests where possible.
Guests are welcome to contact Reception should they wish to have a romantic dinner somewhere else on the estate or to arrange a picnic hamper. The hotel will try its best to arrange the perfect dining experience.
Area information :
The hotel is located in the wind-free Glen area of Camps Bay, Cape Town. The estate borders Chilworth Road on the mountain side and Victoria Road on the ocean side, as well as a mountain reserve.
Camps Bay Retreat is within walking distance of Glen beach, Camps Bay Beach and Clifton.

Exit Airport – Direction N2 Cape Town Follow N2 Stad/City signs Approx.8.5km: Industrial Cyclos on the right. 13.4 km: M3 Muizenberg, Rhodes Drive turn off to Left. 14.1 km: Groote Schuur Hospital on right. Stay in the middle of the lane and follow N2 City, Foreshore, Sea Point signs 17.8 km: Herzog Blvd, Paarl, City/Stad, N1 turn off to the left.Continue on M6 to waterfront 19.5 km: Traffic light. Coen Steytler Avenue. Waterfront turn off to the right. Continue in direction of Camps Bay/ Cableway, M62 The road becomes Kloofnek Road At the top of the mountain, at the circle, continue on towards Camps Bay. Follow the road down the mountain to the promenade, Victoria Road. At the traffic light, turn right. Pass the Bay Hotel on your right Pass the sports field on your right Pass the Village & Life office on the corner of Meadway and Victoria Road. Continue down Victoria Road and turn right into Sedgemore Road. Once you are in Sedgemore Road take the first turn off Left into Chilworth Road. Continue down Chilworth Road to find Camps Bay Retreat’s Entrance on your left.
